What is Dry Shampoo?
Dry Shampoo is an alternative to washing your hair day-to-day. You can apply it directly to your roots to absorb oil and look completely refreshed! It can be used once in a while or for days on end. Whats great about Dirty Blonde Dry Shampoo is that you can choose a shade and scent that best suit you – so it is completely personalized.
How do I know what shade to buy?
Choose the shade that would best match your roots. Our dry shampoo should only be applied to your roots, so don’t be confused by your highlights or balayage style. Your roots are where it’s at!
Platinum Shade is for ice blonde to light blonde hair
Light Shade is for dark blonde, light brown, or light red hair.
Medium Shade is for darker brown and red hair.
Dark Shade is for deep brown to black hair.
Red Shade is for light red hair.

Why is Dirty Blonde Dry Shampoo a better alternative to Aerosol spray?
Aerosol options can leave your hair feeling sticky and are often white in colour making hair look grey. Our powder-based dry shampoo is designed to match your roots and is made from ingredients that are all-natural and won’t leave any residue behind. We also found it lasts about 6x longer than aerosol options.
Aerosol spray cans use a chemical propellant that sprays out of the can, onto your hair and into the air. This colourless, odourless gas is called LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) and is made up of butane, propane and isobutane.
These gasses pose serious risks such as respiratory issues, headaches, hormone disruption, organ damage and not only cause long-term harm to the body, but are destructive to the environment and the earth, as well.
We would also like to mention that our Dry Shampoo is travel-friendly and can go right on to the airplane with you, and its compact shape allows it to fit right into your make up bag.
Why do “all-natural ingredients” matter for my Dry Shampoo?
Several dry shampoos on the market contain talc, which is often contaminated with asbestos (a highly toxic mineral). While its oil absorbing properties may seem life-changing, its side effects actually are. There are several health concerns surrounding the use of talc and can include skin irritations, organ system toxicity, respiratory distress and serious cancer risks.
A couple more chemicals consistently found in traditional dry shampoos are denatured alcohol (seen on labels as “alcohol denat.” and “fragrance”). Both of these toxic ingredients can be irritating to your scalp, damaging to your hair, and dangerous to your health.
Our 100% natural (and non-toxic) dry shampoo won’t cause damage to your hair or your health. We’ve formulated ours with oil-absorbing starch and cocoa-based formula to freshen up any style while adding texture and volume. Scented with 100% pure essential oils that include lavender (which is soothing the scalp) and peppermint (which can stimulate hair growth).
Our dry shampoo will leave your hair smelling and feeling fresh with no long-term damage.
How should I apply my dry shampoo?
Dry Shampoo is applied using an application brush.
1) Dip the brush into the container and shake off excess amount from the brush.
2) Dab the brush directly on to your roots. Part hair into sections and continue placing the powder directly on roots where needed.
3) Once you have the desired amount applied – let it sit for a few minutes and shake out hair with hands or brush through lightly.
4) Once hair is styled refrain from touching it – your hands will add oil and dirt causing it to look dirty again.
*For best results apply to dry hair before bed. This will allow the product to settle while you sleep and will give your hair more volume in the morning.
