The Dirty Truth about Dry Shampoo

Dry shampoos often come in aerosol spray cans use a chemical propellant that sprays out of the can, onto your hair and into the air. This colourless, odourless gas is called LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) and is made up of butane, propane and isobutane.

These gasses pose serious risks such as respiratory issues, headaches, hormone disruption, organ damage and not only cause long-term harm to the body, but are destructive to the environment and the earth, as well.

Several dry shampoos on the market contain talc, which is often contaminated with asbestos (a highly toxic mineral).
